Poreless Matte Foundation Routine

I use this routine to get a very airbrushed and clean finish. I use this foundation routine the most as a I have fairly enlarged pores around and on my nose with combination skin that tends to get oily in my T-zone. If this sounds like your skin this tutorial is for you.

After washing and moisturizing my face I take a blotting paper and blot off all the excess oil off my face to start off with a clean matte finish. I'm using the green tea blotting papers from NYX.

I then take a mattifying primer and apply it all over my face making sure my skin absorbs all of it. The one I am using here is the Rimmel London Stay Matte Primer.

After my primer is absorbed I apply my mattifying foundation. The one I opt for normally is the Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation. However I also really enjoy the Maybelline Dream Mousse Matte foundation. I apply my foundation with a silicone beauty blender because the product goes further but a regular beauty blender or foundation brush will work just as well.

I then take an under eye concealer and cover my dark circles. (I don't get much sleep with three little ones!) I really like the Garnier Clearly Brighter Anti-Dark Circle Roller. It adds just enough coverage without being heavy.

I blend my concealer in using a patting motion with my fingers. That helps the product stay on the skin instead of being wiped off.

Lastly I take my setting powder in a matte finish and apply it to set my concealer and foundation. The one I use is Rimmel London Stay Matte Powder.

That finishes the routine! My pores are filled in and I have a smooth, even, matte surface to work a make up look off of.
